Cartoon time
I wish I were smart enough to have come up with this cartoon strip. I think its brilliance lies in its simplicity. The original can be found here and is worth a look. Does this reflect your experience with depression?
Wow. That really is brilliant. I'll tell you a secret that isn't a secret. Sometimes, we depressed people try so very hard in public and in front of acquaintances and strangers, that we're too drained to behave well at home. It's exhausting. I hate that sometimes I forget, or am unable, to put on my best face at home. Home is where it's safe to be tired, and to be myself. It's really not fair, but it's often true.
